Last week (3/21) I discovered that all of my sites hosted on TextDrive were no longer reachable:
ಠ_ಠ ping rabasa.com PING rabasa.com (8.17.82.104): 56 data bytes Request timeout for icmp_seq 0 Request timeout for icmp_seq 1 Request timeout for icmp_seq 2 Request timeout for icmp_seq 3 Request timeout for icmp_seq 4 Request timeout for icmp_seq 5 ^C --- rabasa.com ping statistics --- 7 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss
Here is a brief history of my inability to connect with anyone at TextDrive about this.
3/21 - An email is sent to support@textdrive.com 3/22 - Another email is sent to support@textdrive.com 3/22 - A tweet is sent to @txd 3/25 - A support ticket was filed at https://w.textdrive.com
I've checked my Spam folder, so I know I'm not missing any correspondence from TextDrive. It seems like they've simply disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else?
I am thinking on working on some personal project to build a mobile app to listen to your emails. Not sure if there are similar app available in the market. I know one of them is swipeapp which is no longer available. And another one is Text'n'drive but haven't tried either.
I just want to make sure that nothing similar already available before proceeding.
I am setting up my second LLC from scratch, and it's been years since I did this last. I am going with Coda for my project/CRM/collaboration platform, MS 365 for some of my apps to hook into Coda, and I am looking for a VPS for my custom domain. I realize MS 365 Business will allow my custom domain email, and use of the Office apps (Exchange included), but I am wondering if I shouldn't just host it myself on my VPS host. In the early 2000s, I used Textdrive and their hosting for my site, email, and hosting. I realize email hosting is best left to the biggies like Google, Amazon, and MS. Coda is taking a central role to my current setup, so I can utilize Google, MS, and others through it rather than have them define my setup. Any tips for a single-member LLC here?
On a side note, I was a OneNote user from way back, and I always envisioned it being all Coda and Notion have become. I feel like OneNote was very innovative for its time.
while selling a car, I had to make a lot of time to schedule all the test drives for people interested in my offering.
This is not easy with a full time job!
So I heard that in Singapore, Hyundai made a trial platform that allows users to test drive vehicles in a contactless manner, including keyless entry via web API and more.
Since I could not find a replica of such a service in my country, I set out to do my own version and hence my platform twinzok.com was born.
It allows people to list their vehicle and offer test drives and viewings at any time. Only people that have a verified license can drive. Just like online rental services. This solves my time problem as I do not have to be present during the viewings and drives anymore.
Right now the service is a in trial phase but the main components are working.
I wanted to know what you think of this idea and whether you see any use in it.
I don't own a Mac computer but am using a cross platform framework which generates XCode project files. Can I pay for an external service to compile these for me and perhaps release them on TestDrive or the App Store? An internet search yields some results, but I'm mainly asking for your experience of possible pitfalls for setting up remote build systems for this platform.
Much like https://unity3d.com/services/cloud-build, except I am using Nativescript, not Unity.
