Here's the big difference:
Notion is great as a team workspace and to get things done while capacities is geared towards taking notes and building a knowledge base.
Imagine you take hundreds to thousands of notes. You'll have diminishing returns if you try to organize them in a hierarchy or rigid databases. At capacities we take a different approach: You just create ideas, questions, books, notes, .. and connect them afterwards with related ideas. By that you create a network of thoughts that becomes more valuable the more knowledge and ideas you add.
