I have latest Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit) installed, and even Provide search suggestions" turned off (especially the "Show search suggestions in address bar results") I clearly get suggestion in the address bar while typing.

I really do not like it!

the main reason I do is that I think that (correct me if I'm wrong) having Firefox suggesting means Firefox get what I type in the address bar (!)

Firefox nightlies now hiding http:// in address bar like chrome (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=665580)
